The following will explain how classes will run based on the current guidelines and will be updated regularly. If you have any thoughts, please email them to me on adelineodowd@gmail.com or you can drop a note in the red box upstairs.

Although most scenarios have been considered to complete these guidelines, these will be updated as HSE and other guidelines are changed or as new scenarios are encountered. Thank you for your patience and support. Please bear with us while we adapt to the new “norm”.

If a class cannot run face2face for any reason, the class will automatically go online at the same time using the ZOOM platform, If you cannot use ZOOM, please contact Adeline to arrange a trial run.

–Please wash your hand thoroughly with hot water and soap for a minimum of 20 seconds immediately before you leave for class.
–Bring an extra layer of clothing to wear as doors and windows are open to promote air movement but leave items like coats, handbags at home as there is no storage space or lockers available. Fan’s may be on to further improve ventilation
–Please arrive alone and unfortunately I cannot accommodate other children or mobile toddlers at the moment.
–Wear shoes that are easy to take on or off.
–Bring requested equipment or items to class, failure to do this may result in you not being allowed to attend (e.g. the waterproof baby mat that you are provided with on class 1 of a baby class).
–It will not be possible to discuss a concern you have (e.g. a recent medical diagnosis) with Adeline before, during or after class so please email or text Adeline well in advance instead.

Concerned that you may have Covid 19?
If you are concerned that you may have symptoms of covid19 or that you may have had contact with a suspected or confirmed case or if you feel that you are protecting others by not attending, please contact Adeline, well in advance by text, so that you can be given log in details for the online class to attend if there is one available. Additionally you should phone your GP immediately for further advice.

Entering the building for all classes
–If you wish, you can wear a mask or face covering that the HSE recommend but currently they are not recommended if 2m distancing is maintained. If you wear one, put in on before you enter the building and do not touch or remove it until you leave the building. Still maintain the recommended physical distancing. https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/face-masks-disposable-gloves.html
–If you choose to wear gloves when you drive to class, please leave them in your car as you cannot wear them or dispose of them in this building. (HSA website: Gloves are generally not required for infection prevention)
–Access is ONLY by the back door so that you have no contact with anyone else other than those in your class. Access will be denied if you come in the front door and access to the Pilates room is blocked from the front of the building. Access may be denied if you arrive after your class start time.
–Wait in or beside your car until your class time, if you walk, then you can stand at the distancing signs beside the steel back door which may be closed. As you look at the steel door, the access to the right is EXIT only and the access leading straight up to the door is the ENTRANCE. Do not wait beyond the first cuing marker as you may be less than the recommended physical distance when someone leaves the building. The wooden back door will be open at all times to promote natural ventilation.
–Please wait at the steel barrier (not the steel gate) if Adeline is speaking to someone at the wooden door.
–Remember to bring your equipment with you. List: a mat or similar, an old bath towel, A large fluffy (not skinny) pillow, a blanket rolled up tightly, a stretch band or similar and a back support (if required) and a solid bottle of water (disposable bottles will squash). Equipment (other than a chair) will not be provided or shared due to the possible contamination. The chair will be cleaned between classes but please place an old towel to leave on the chair during class so that cleaning products do not mark your clothes. Please do not bring unnecessary items to class. For pregnancy classes, you will also need a Gymball. For online classes you will need the list above plus a chair or a gymball.
–Your temperature may be checked using an infrared no touch digital forehead thermometer immediately when you enter the building, you should not attend if your temperature is higher than 38 degrees.
–There is hand sanitizer available to the right at the bottom of the stairs downstairs and beside the lift upstairs.
–Please remove your shoes at the top of the stairs before you step on the wooden floors and leave them on the stand and proceed to a mat unless advised otherwise. Do not pass the green line with shoes on.

In class
–Each space is assigned a number and your location in the class will be recorded to facilitate contact tracing if necessary, therefore you must remain in your designated space for the duration of the class.
–There are 11 spaces in the pilates room and 3 spaces on the wooden floors beside the Pilates room. You can elect to take the spaces beside the Pilates room if preferred as they offer additional distancing from the Pilates room.
–Please use the bathroom before you leave for class as the bathroom toilets are locked. They are available for use if necessary, please ask Adeline.  Tissues are beside each “mat” space to use.
–Classes will run without ball bouncing or skipping and all classes will be a mix of “fast” and “stretchy” exercises.
–Adeline may wear a mask/face covering as she may be momentary closer than 2m to individuals and may be projecting her voice.
–After class you will gather up your equipment, put on your shoes when beside the shoe stand, past the green line and leave the building while maintaining social distancing. All chatting should be done outside the building in the open air.
–When everyone has left the building, the steel gate/door may be locked and the chairs, banisters etc will be sanitized before the next class arrives.
–There is a box outside the Pilates room to leave letters or payments for Adeline. Envelopes and pen’s are available beside the box if you need to write your name on an item (please use sanitizer first), ideally do this at home.
–If you didn’t get your loyalty card stamped in February, please leave it in the box for Adeline to stamp. The loyalty offer and swapping to other face2face classes are both temporally suspended. Please leave parking tickets on your chair and Adeline will stamp them at the beginning of class. If you are in an evening class, please leave parking ticket in the small box beside the notice board.
